The Student Success Center offers comprehensive student-focused programs and resources

As record numbers of students prepare to enter university classrooms this fall, the Student Success Center will continue to offer a network of high-impact resources and programs to ensure that all students have access to the opportunities they might need to thrive on campus. .

The center team — based at CORD, short for the new Cordia Harrington Center of Excellence just north of Old Main — has spent the summer bolstering staff and programming to meet the needs of another enrollment year. to the banner. The services offered by the center are designed for students of all academic levels and any study program. The center’s programming aims to help students maximize their academic success, strengthen their sense of belonging and improve their overall well-being.

Center staff also collaborate with faculty and campus staff to help coordinate a variety of workshops to support students enrolled in their courses and programs.

Many offerings will also include remote scheduling capabilities to provide flexibility for students who may need or want this option.

Featured services this fall include:

  • Registration guides

    • Enrollment Guide student workers assist current students with UAConnect processes such as enrolling, dropping, and exchanging courses; use the schedule planner; access waiting lists; and answer general questions about campus resources. Registration guides will be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily August 22-26 at the CORD Welcome Desk.

  • My majors

  • Success Tips

    • Students can sign up to receive weekly academic success tips that are sent to their phones and emails. Previous tips included staying motivated, how to pay attention, making healthy choices, and taking care of yourself.

  • Writing workshop

    • Undergraduate and graduate students can book appointments for in-person or online consultations. On-demand writing workshops and online resources for students and faculty are available on the Writing Studio webpage.
