Several Mower County students recognized as MN Connections Academy Class of 2021 – Austin Daily Herald


More than 440 graduates from across Minnesota recently graduated from high school as members of the 2021 Minnesota Connections Academy class. The Tuition Free Online Public School recently celebrated students and this academic milestone with a virtual graduation ceremony.

“The faculty and staff of Minnesota Connections Academy are very proud of this year’s graduates for their hard work and we admire their determination and persistence during a very difficult time,” said Melissa Gould, Director of the Minnesota Connections Academy . “These students have come to our school in search of a learning environment that meets their individual needs, and we know that when given the opportunity to learn in the way that works best for them, they are ‘flourish. Our class of 2021 is ready to move forward with the skills they have acquired to meet all the challenges that lie ahead. “

The following Mower County students are in the 2021 Minnesota Connections Academy class:

• Isaac Leeman – Austin

• Riley Olsen – Waltham

• Lucian Osberg – Austin

• Maia Petersen – Austin

• Benjamin Stark – Austin

The Class of 2021 is the 13th class of the experienced virtual school serving students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Many of the Minnesota Connections Academy’s Class of 2021 are planning to attend a two- or four-year college or university. Others in this year’s class enter the workforce, join the military, take a year off, or pursue other opportunities.
