POPYA with Titus Hidishange – Online learning made easy

With the vision of personalizing education through technology and helping learners perform better in the classroom, former teacher and software engineer, Titus Hidishange, created ‘Passmygrade’, an after-school learning app for learners who prepare for the first and second cycle of secondary school exams.

“Passmygrade” is a technology-based learning tool that provides a huge database of unlimited access to animated video lessons, practice questions, testing and 24/7 doubting by expert tutors.

The app also uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to track each student’s progress and displays personalized recommendations as well as analytical data reports to highlight strengths and areas for improvement.

Talk to Youth corner, Hidishange said that during his years of teaching, he realized that the traditional one-way education system does not take into account the varied abilities of learners.

“The teacher usually focuses on the pace of fast learners, leaving average learners to catch up on their own. We also realized that most learners are reluctant to ask questions in class for fear of being judged, ”said Hidishange, adding that the app will allow learners to study at any time they choose and they can follow their progress and create learning profiles to improve. memory retention using technology as a catalyst.

Explaining how the app works, Hidishange said it is user-friendly – and a learner can register on the app to access resources for free; However, learners may also need to subscribe to premium features.

According to him, the app expands growth opportunities for all learners while providing historically disadvantaged learners with greater equity of access to high-quality learning materials, expertise, personalized learning and opportunities. future education planning tools.

“Learners learn from the best teachers in the country, where every lesson is taught using world-class technology and realistic visual aids. These realistic videos allow conceptual clarity and lifelong retention, which makes it easier to consume knowledge and information, ”he added.

Although the development phase of the app started last year, Hidishange said his team is currently busy creating content, such as writing interactive notes, recording video lessons, facilitating lessons, creating question banks and recruiting more technical staff to join the team.

“We look forward to launching the platform in September 2021. We have just finished creating content for all science subjects (math, biology, physics and chemistry). We plan to launch our platform before the start of national exams to allow learners to quickly see the value proposition and solution of the app. We started with the secondary years and we will go through the primary years in the future, ”he explained.

You can find more information about the “Passmygrade” app on various social media platforms.
