master’s student takes VNSGU online exam between marriage | Surat News

Surat: Veer Narmad University of South Gujarat (VNSGU) held an online exam for the first and third semesters of postgraduate and undergraduate courses on Saturday. A total of 14,619 students took the online exam for the first time. Students in the second and fourth semesters were mass promoted according to their eligibility.
A master’s student, Payal Tandel, took her first semester Sanskrit exam between her marriage from her home. Tandel dressed in bridal attire skipped one of her wedding rituals to take the exam and then joined the ceremony, VNSGU sources said. “Thanks to the online exam, the student was able to attend the exam and also continue another important event in her life. Many students have benefited from the arrangement, ”said a university official.
The exam was organized for students of various courses in the fields of arts, business, science, management and rural studies. Students appeared in 40 different subjects from various PG and UG courses. The question papers were in the form of multiple choice questions (MCQs) and 50 questions were asked in each paper for which the students were given an hour of time.
In the morning session out of 10,062 registered students 8,639 took the exam while in the afternoon session 5,228 out of 5,980 took the exam.
“We successfully passed the first tests on Saturday and the exam will continue next week. We have set up problem solving centers in each college, ”said KN Chavda, vice chancellor of VNSGU.
For the past two weeks, VNSGU has been running mock tests before proceeding with the exam. “During the mock exam, we were faced with connection issues which were resolved,” added Chavda.
