Introduction of system-generated examination orders for B/E


Under the new procedure, after BE data processing, the Risk Management System (RMS) will generate a consolidated review order for each selected BE based on potential risks.

The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBIC) has introduced system-generated centralized examination orders for entry declarations (BE) in a phased manner, in the event of risk-based selection for post-assessment examination. The idea is to standardize the examination of imported goods. The first phase will begin today for common ferrous metals falling under Chapters 72 and 73 of the Customs Tariff.
